Solferino Café is the product of 2 years of intense planning, based on the concept that Canada and indeed the U.S. is ready for a higher quality of gelato/ice cream, essentially top level European quality and as well Canadians will come to love the concept of a European café, where they meet friends and even talk to strangers.
The gelato made at Solferino Café is very much like that made in Italy a few decades ago, but which even there is hard to find as short cuts are being taken. At Solferino Café one has an artisan gelato maker of the highest qualifications using only the finest of natural ingredients, where the gelato is made from scratch, and where change and improvement of the product is an ongoing exercise.
As well as gelato, you can find pastries, sandwiches and hot and cold beverages. Perhaps most noticeable is the coffee which is 100% Columbian and the espresso, all products are roasted in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), by two roasters which we have specifically sourced and who provide us with unique blends made to our requirements.
